Advisory & board roles
Someone in your corner who's built it, sold it, and sat on the board.
I take on a small number of advisory and board positions with ambitious tech companies. Not the kind where someone turns up to a quarterly meeting and reads the deck - the kind where I'm genuinely close to the problem. Challenging the technical direction, pressure-testing decisions, making introductions, and rolling my sleeves up on something hands-on when it's interesting enough that I can't help myself.
What I bring
I've built and sold a SaaS business and stayed on its board as a non-executive director afterwards, so I understand both the founder view and the board view.
I bring enterprise-grade technical judgement from years leading delivery at E.ON, Experian and the NHS.
And I still build now - with hands-on AI and product work in current projects, not advice from someone who stopped shipping years ago.
Usually a few sessions a year plus a direct line when it matters. Compensated in a day rate, equity, or a mix - but honestly, fit comes first. If the company and the problem are interesting, we'll find a structure that works.
